Sunset Meditation On Scripps Pier

A sunset meditation on Scripps Pier gathered researchers, staff, and students for the culminating program of “Meditation Ocean: Aquarius Reef Base” (November 2025–February 2026) at the Birch Aquarium. Led by M.O. Artist/Director Hope Ginsburg, joined by a roosting falcon, the group focused on scientific and embodied knowledge and invited insight through all available channels. The event offered a Friday evening reset with stunning views of La Jolla’s coast and an oceanic soundscape. 

Thanks to Meditation Ocean Constellation folks from Birch, Megan Dickerson, Tina Mau, and Jordann Tomasek, and to Scripps Diving Safety Officer Christian McDonald, for organizing, participating, and opening the pier to a different mode of research.
